3 Ways to Drive Business Growth with Inbound Marketing

Did you know that approximately 97% of consumers use the internet to find local businesses, but only 37% of businesses have an online presence? How much business are you losing because people can’t find you online? Consumers are now using online tools to make their purchase decisions and the numbers will only continue to grow.

What are you doing to make yourself visible online for those potential leads? You are probably very comfortable with traditional marketing methods. However, the trick today to retaining customers, bringing in new leads and staying one step ahead of your competition, involves implementing a digital marketing strategy.

Driving Business with Inbound Marketing

As a Preferred Google Partner and inbound certified agency, Marketing Essentials joined businesses around the world and hosted an exciting Google event to help businesses understand the importance of using inbound marketing to generate revenue growth. Here are the top 3 points Google stressed during their presentation:

  1. Connect with your customer. Stop focusing on your product, yourself, and your company and start focusing on the user. What do your customers want? A personalized experience. Tailor your information to serve the needs of your audience.
  2. Be mobile. 56% of all adults have smartphones. Of those 56%, 3 out of 4 of the users who find a business while looking on their phone call that company right away. Likewise, 45% of people claim they would rather give up a vacation than give up their smartphone. Mobile marketing is everything. What do potential customers experience with your mobile interface?
  3. Track everything. It is important that you track anything and everything you do. This is made possible (and easier) with inbound marketing. Take advantage of easy-to-use tracking tools, such as Google Analytics, to turn your data insights into actions. Using data to drive your marketing results is a better use of your marketing budget.

While traditional marketing used to be all about the promotion, we must remember it is now customer-centric. We hope these tips offer helpful insight into how to start an effective inbound marketing strategy.
